Anyone who was using Crickles last year may recall that we had a couple of special bonuses pages available in January. One of them is now back for this new year too – it’s the 2023 Top 10 page and reminds you of your hardest rides in 2023 as measured by CSS. There’s a drop-down to select from your top 10 and for each one you get a map of the ride. A unique and especially useful feature is that if you were recording your heart rate on your ride you can see any sections where you were above your sustainable heart rate.
Here’s an example:

While the overall route is shown in grey, the sections in which the heart rate exceeded the rider’s sustainable level are highlighted in red.
It’s possible to zoom in and out of the map using the +/- button at the top left of the map.
This feature is only available to users who have completed the short Crickles heart health survey at . The page will be present throughout January.
Happy New Year!!

Thanks Ian,
The example looks nice. However, on my computer I do not get a map – or anything. I do get the drop down of the top ten.
I’m using a MacBook Pro with the latest OS (14.2.1).
Thanks
Nick
Further to my comment above. I do get the map on my I phone (14 Pro). But it’s unusable as is any Crickles feature on the IO phone.
Regards
Nick
Ian,
It’s now working on the MacBook
Thanks
Nick
Thanks for letting me know – I was just looking into it and was frankly stumped! Nice ride across Mallorca there btw!
Ian, Hate to add this to Nick’s comments but it’s not working for me either on a laptop using Windows 10 and Chrome.
Charlie
Hi Charlie, Not sure what it is about this page that’s causing the issue… I see that Nick’s has started to work now. I only have Macs around at the moment but I’m getting the same issue as you when I use Chrome – pre-release I only tested it on Firefox and Safari, which both work fine. I’ll have a dig into this if/when I get a moment. Meanwhile, if any developers have any idea why Chrome doesn’t like this particular page please drop me a note! Apologies, Ian
Hi Ian, like this idea and the example looks great.
Same problem for me though, I get the top 10 drop down list, but despite clicking on everything, cannot progress from there…!?
I’m using Win 10 and Chrome, but same result with Edge & Firefox…
Thanks for the info. I’m a bit baffled about this as I added exactly the same past last new year with the same code and it worked for everyone then… However I think I may have fixed it (I’m good on Chrome now) – please could someone check and let me know? Thanks!
Hi again. Don’t know what you did but it’s working now.
Charlie
Thanks for confirming that! Good to hear.
